Rozendom Technologies sells three new training systems
Rozendom Technologies has sold two new simulators to 'Q and Car' in Hungary and a simulator for driving under the influence of alcohol to a cooperation between Pon Automotive and VVN in The Netherlands.
The training systems will be fixed-base and use Lumo Drive software for the simulation. The simulator for Pon/VVN is mobile and mounted inside a trailer. This mobile setup will be presented during the AutoRAI 2009 in Amsterdam. |

Lumo Drive in Car of the Future project
The University of Twente and re-lion are working on a project called ‘Car of the Future’ using Lumo Drive in which future mobility is explored.
By presenting a driving simulator visitors can experience what future mobility might look like. In the simulation innovative mobility concepts are presented that show the car will evolve to be more of a durable article over a symbol of status. Moreover, the car will be presented as an increasingly sustainable means of transportation due to new technologies offering minimization of external effects of driving, improving the carpooling possibilities and easing the driving task of the driver. In this way re-lion and the University of Twente offer the visitor of the AutoRAI a glimpse into the future of driving. |
New training method for Dutch Battlefield Management System
re-lion will be developing a new training application for Battlefield Management System (BMS) used by the Dutch Army. The BMS system a Command and Control system developed by the C2 Support Centre in Ede, part of the Dutch Armed Forces, and will be implemented in all major vehicle platforms in use by the Dutch Army.
The training application will be based on Virtual Battlespace2 from Bohemia Interactive and Steel Beasts Pro from eSim games linked via High-Level Architecture (HLA) to the BMS system.
The project will be carried out in close cooperation with the C2 Support Centre in Ede and the Army Training Center in Amersfoort. |
re-lion at the Royal Netherlands Army's open house
re-lion will display VIT, Lumo Drive and their new BMS training method at the open house of the Royal Netherlands Army on June the 5th and 6th in Amersfoort. You can find re-lion indoor in the Gym location. |
re-lion showing off at ITEC 2009
re-lion will display VIT, Lumo Drive and Lumo Builder at the ITEC 2009 in Brussels, Belgium. ITEC is an exhibition dedicated to defence, training, education and simulation. You can find re-lion at booth D-155 next to neighbors CAE and EADS. |
Rehabilitation using games
re-lion is developing a training game for patients that have a neurological trauma (e.g. CVA, transverse myelitis) resulting in difficult use of arm- and/or hand. The game will have a cartoony look and will invole sheep, a wolf and a virtual arm/hand.
The training game is developed in the VIRTUROB (Virtual Reality and Robotics Combination Training) consortium. The goal of the consortium is to acquire state of the art knowledge in the area of Virtual Reality and Robotics. Partners in the consortium are Roessingh Research & Development, University of Twente, UMC St Radboud and BAAT Medical. The project will run for 4 years.
